At a glance
A total of 1,372 students carried out their Co-Op work terms
in 2009. All eligible Co-Op students were successfully placed
in Co-Op jobs relevant to their studies with a total of 819
companies from various industries including:
• Food and beverage
• Food manufacturing
• Biotechnology
• Human resource firms
• Accounting firms
• Medicinal, pharmaceutical institutions and hospitals
• Pathology laboratories
• Financial institutions: banks, insurance companies
• Service: hotels, customer service, tourism
• Engineering and telecommunications firms
• Information Technology consultancies/service providers
• Law firms
• Psychology and counselling centres
• Communications (radio, TV, newspaper) and event
management agencies.
Co-Op employers included well-respected organisations such
as PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia, See Hoy Chan Group
and Malaysia Airlines.
