At a glance<br />

A total of 1,372 students carried out their <strong>Co</strong>-Op work terms<br />

in <strong>2009</strong>. All eligible <strong>Co</strong>-Op students were successfully placed<br />

in <strong>Co</strong>-Op jobs relevant to their studies with a total of 819<br />

companies from various industries including:<br />

• Food and beverage<br />

• Food manufacturing<br />

• Biotechnology<br />

• Human resource firms<br />

• Accounting firms<br />

• Medicinal, pharmaceutical institutions and hospitals<br />

• Pathology laboratories<br />

• Financial institutions: banks, insurance companies<br />

• Service: hotels, customer service, tourism<br />

• Engineering and telecommunications firms<br />

• Information Technology consultancies/service providers<br />

• Law firms<br />

• Psychology and counselling centres<br />

• <strong>Co</strong>mmunications (radio, TV, newspaper) and event<br />

management agencies.<br />

<strong>Co</strong>-Op employers included well-respected organisations such<br />

as Pricewaterhouse<strong>Co</strong>opers Malaysia, See Hoy Chan Group<br />

and Malaysia Airlines.<br />
