UCSI Co-Operative Report 2009

Introduction
In 2009, 819 corporations and organisations participated in
UCSI University’s Co-Op programme – a number that has
grown from the original 21 employers in 2004.

Through our ‘MyCo-Op’ portal available online from
the UCSI University website, students can submit their
résumés, browse job vacancies and view the profiles of
registered employers under the Co-Op programme. In
turn, registered employers can post their work openings,
screen CVs, arrange interviews and issue e-offer letters
to students.
The Co-Op programme is a mutually beneficial
partnership between our institution and respected
employers in various industries.
Benefits for students under the Co-Op programme

• students receive industrial exposure beyond textbook
knowledge
• refine students’ skills and ability to cope under
pressure
• give students a chance to put their academic knowledge

graduation, with six to eight months of working
