Who doesn’t like to laugh Jimmy 

Keys will have you rolling on the floor from 

the beginning of his show to the end! He is back this 

year with a new show that is a high energy variety 

show packed with comedy, visual musical impressions 

and favorite Broadway songs, wrapped around 

some of the most exciting piano playing that you will 

ever witness! Because this entertainer is expensive, we 

want to make this evening affordable for everyone by 

eliminating dinner service. We will provide dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. 

Tickets are $27.00 per person. This 90-minute Show will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Salt Cave 

Every breath of salty air you take, 

every precious microelement of salt 

you inhale in the salt cave is a bit 

of an irreplaceable, natural therapy 

beneficial for many health conditions. 

With the help of a salt generator device and tons of 

Himalayan crystal salt, we are able to recreate the very 

special, healing microclimate of the ancient underground 

salt caves. Join VillageWalk and VeronaWalk as we 

head to the Naples Salt Cave located at 4962 Tamiami 

Trail North, Naples, FL 34103 on Tuesday, January 8 at 

11:00 a.m. Please wear comfortable clothing. There are 

chairs, benches and mats to make this experience enjoyable. 

You may bring your own yoga mat to lay on if you 

wish. The session will last 45 minutes. $20 per person 

limited to 13 people. Please sign up with the HOA Office

Community Pot Luck 

Get to meet your neighbors on 

Sunday, January 13 at our community 

birthday party pot luck 

dinner! Appetizers will be out in 

the Gazebo area starting at 4:30 

p.m. and then we’ll move into the 

ballroom for dinner and dessert. 

Tables in the ballroom will be designated 

by birthday month. If you 

are a married couple, please use 

the oldest one’s birthday month 

when registering. At time of reservation 

please let us know what you will be bringing: 

appetizer, side dish( salad, vegetable or starch) or main 

entrée (Beef, pork loin, chicken casserole or pasta). The 

committee will be providing turkey and ham to 

fill in. Please be prepared to be flexible on dishes 

to bring as we need to make sure we have plenty of 

entrees to accommodate the participants. $5.00 per 

person to cover the cost of dessert, paper products, 

sternos, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you are bringing 

appetizers, please try to arrive a few minutes early 

so we can display them at the gazebo. All reservations 

must be in by Friday, January 11 for planning purposes.

more volunteers to help for this event; please contact

Blood Drive 

Every 3 seconds someone in America needs blood. 

Every 20 minutes someone’s loved one receives blood 

right here in our surrounding area. The greatest mistake 

we, as giving human beings, could make is to assume 

blood is always available for those in need. Join 

us on Saturday, January 26 from 8:00-11:00 a.m. for 

a community blood drive. The bus will be parked at 

the Bocce Courts. We need a minimum of 15 people 

to register for this event. Please sign up at the HOA 

Office today!

store, sizes are limited. Your shopping 

experience begins at 12:00 pm and runs to 2:00 pm. 

Please DO NOT arrive prior to 11:45 a.m. as guests 

will not be permitted through the gate before 

11:45 am. Each guest will need a photo ID to enter 

the gate. Policies: No children (under age 13) are 

permitted in the store, No pets are allowed in the store, 

dressing rooms available and no disrobing is allowed. 

We are limited to 25 guests for the day. All names 

will be turned in 72 hours before the event. No substitutions 

or cancellations after that point. Names must be 

how they appear on your Driver’s License. Please call

trivial. Test your knowledge 

with categories including,

science, and literature. The winners are the team which, 

at the end of the night, have correctly answered the 

most number of questions. Get your friends and neighbors 

together for our first, 2013 Trivia Night here at the 

Town Center. Teams can have a minimum of 4 players 

with a maximum of 8 players. Please come with a team 

name in mind so we can begin on time! Don’t worry 

if you don’t have a team together, we can match you 

up! Price is $5 per person. Please bring an appetizer to 

share at half time! Non-alcoholic beverages and water 

will be provided. 

Pub Crawl (Wait List) 

You will not want to miss this fun VillageWalk Activity! 

Join in the festivities on Saturday, January 19 as 

we head to Fort Myers Beach. The Ku-Ku Ku-Nu-Ku, 

a famous authentic, “open air” San Francisco Motorized 

Cable Car, will pick us up at VillageWalk to start 

the evening off right. Snacks and beverages are allowed 

on the trolley. The tunes will be jammin’ as we get on 

and off the trolley all evening. The cost for the trolley is 

$20.00 per person based on a minimum of 30 residents. 

Please RSVP to the HOA Office by January 15. Don’t 

drink and drive, hop on the trolley and ride with us. The 

trolley will depart VillageWalk at 5:00 p.m. from the 

Town Center and return at 11:00 p.m. 

VIP Shopping at Glamour Puss in Naples 

It’s time for VIP treatment! Join us on Wednesday, 

January 30 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Glamour Puss in Naples 

for this special VillageWalk night. We will receive 20% off 

our purchases that evening as well as have a free drawing. 

Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres while you shop until you drop!

Kayaking at Manatee Park 

Join in the fun 

on Tuesday, 

January 22nd at 

9:30 a.m. as we 

hit the waters 

of South West 

Florida in search 

of manatees! 

In addition you 

will see birds, 

dolphin and other species of wildlife. This is the time 

of year when the manatees arrive to keep warm in the 

water by the power plant and there are many to see! 

We will be Kayaking from Manatee Park in Fort Myers 

down the Orange River and back. There will be 

kayak instruction before we depart; so even if you have 

never kayaked before this trip is for you! Enjoy lunch 

in the park after the trip and a walk on the nature trails 

as well. Lunch is: choice of Turkey on wheat, ham on 

white or a veggie wrap. Lunch comes with chips, drink 

and dessert. $39.00 per person for this day of fun so

are available. Manatee Park is located at 10901 State

Recycle Center Tour 

Join VillageWalk as we 

take a tour of Lee County’s 

own waste to energy facility! 

We will tour the recycle 

center on Monday, January 21 

at 10:00 a.m. This tour will 

run about 40 minutes; please 

wear comfortable clothing and 

see the in’s and out’s of the 

recycle center. We need 20 residents as a minimum to 

run this free tour. Please register with the HOA Office 

by Thursday, January 17. The recycle center is located 

at 10500 Buckingham Road, Fort Myers, FL 33905. 

Please park in the field to the right of the facility and 

our tour will be on the second floor. Please arrive at

the myths and 

raise awareness 

of heart disease as the number one killer of women. 

Because women have been largely ignored as a specific 

group, their awareness of this often-preventable disease 

has suffered. Only 55 percent of women realize heart 

disease is their No. 1 killer and less than half know 

what are considered healthy levels for cardiovascular 

risk factors like blood pressure and cholesterol. Dr. 

Lacagnina will be able to speak on the signs, symptoms 

and things you can do to control heart disease. Limited 

to 50 people for this free luncheon and seminar. All 

reservations must be received by Tuesday, January 29 

by calling the HOA Office.

Chocolate Tour

Calling all you chocolate lovers! A sweet aroma 

of chocolate awaits you as walk into Olde Naples 

Chocolate located at 945 5th Avenue North Naples, FL. 

We will tour the facility on Wednesday, February 6 and 

learn all of the in’s and out’s of chocolate making. We 

will then be able to make 3 pieces each to take home! 

Minimum of 8 people to run this tour, maximum of 20.

Valentine’s Dance 

Be whisked away at this Valentine’s Day themed 

romantic dance with Cahlua & Cream on Saturday, 

February 9. Doors for this event will open at 5:30 p.m. 

with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and entertainment 7:00-10:00 

p.m. Dinner will be catered by Railhead Cafe’ consisting 

of rolls and butter, Spinach Strawberry salad,

early twentieth-century bronze and stone casts of iconic 

Classical, Renaissance and Baroque sculptures, including 

Michelangelo’s David and Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, 

Italy. This museum has sought to bring a glimpse 

of the world’s great cultural treasures to the people of

result, every journey through 

the Everglades offers a different 

experience for visitors. 

VillageWalk and VeronaWalk will be heading to Shark 

Valley, the Everglades National Park on Tuesday, 

March 19, 2013. We will depart from VillageWalk at 

7:00 a.m. (check in at 6:45 a.m.) After our hour and 

a half tram tour, we will visit the Oasis Visitor Center 

and stop for lunch. You will have a choice between 

Turkey & Swiss on Whole Wheat or Ham & American 

Cheese on White Bread, chips, cookie, piece of 

fruit and beverage. Please let us know what you will 

be having for lunch at time of reservation. After lunch 

we will visit the Clyde Butcher’s Big Cypress Gallery 

where you can view and purchase the incredible work 

of this photographer and take a walk on the nature trail 

located behind the gallery. Like the work of Ansel 

Adams, Clyde Butcher’s remarkable photographs give 

us an access to the nature we rarely see or experience.

tour this sculpture garden made in stone, built by one 

man, Edward Leedskalnin. From 1923 to 1951, Ed 

single-handedly and secretly carved over 1,100 tons 

of coral rock, and his unknown process has created 

one of the world’s most mysterious accomplishments. 

To this day, no one knows how Ed created the Coral 

Castle. Built under the cover of night and in secret, 

at a time when there were no modern construction 

conveniences, Ed would only say that he knew “the 

secret of the pyramids.” Features of the Coral Castle 

Museum include a 9-ton gate that moves with just a 

touch of the finger, a Polaris telescope and functioning 

rocking chairs – all made entirely of stone. The Coral 

Castle is an everlasting mystery to those who explore 

it. Following the Castle we stop for lunch at the Golden 

Coral in Florida City that features a salad bar with 50+ 

items, multiple entrées, vegetables, starches and dessert 

(includes tax, gratuity and beverage). Then we are back 

on the bus for a docent led tour of RF Orchids owner, 

Robert Fuchs, Private Tropical Garden! RF Orchids 

is the largest grower of Orchids in SWFL and is the 

recipient of national and international awards. With 

over 50 years experience and array of beautiful orchids, 

this is a must see. Our final stop of the day is the 

Schnebly Redland’s Winery & Brewery where you will 

enjoy a private tour and your choice of a wine tasting

(COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM)

Sign up for a cert course with Bonita Fire & Rescue. 

CERT is a group of community volunteers trained by 

local fire departments that would be the first responders 

in their neighborhoods in an emergency such as a hurricane 

or tornado. Originally founded by the Los Angeles 

Fire Department as a concept in 1985, the CERT course 

will benefit any citizen who takes it. This individual 

will be better prepared to respond to and cope with the 

aftermath of a disaster. If you would like more information

in January for another of their delicious luncheons.

LANDSCAPING REMINDERS 

If anyone has landscaping issues or concerns, please contact

Every Friday the HOA, Mainscape and Napier Sprinklers 

team together to inspect all concerns, diagnose the problems 

and find solutions. PLEASE REPORT YOUR CONCERNS 

TO THE OFFICE. Twice weekly, Mainscape canvases the 

community street by street to pick up palm fronds throughout 

the community. Fronds are also picked up daily, but only on 

the streets where they are working. In between times, if one 

falls in your yard, simply pull it to the curb for pick up. 

Annual Meeting Scheduled 

Mark your calendars: VillageWalk of Bonita Springs 

Annual Meeting will be held March 13, 2013 at 6 p.m. in 

the Town Center. All are welcome to attend, however only 

neighborhood representatives need to sign in for their street. 

Please plan to attend this important meeting. The HOA Office 

is looking for volunteers for the Annual Meeting, to help with 

the sign-in procedure. Please call the office if you will be able

Painted Yellow “No Parking” Curb 

The curb in front of Railhead Café is painted a bright 

yellow with “no parking” stenciled on the stripe. This 

IS a designated Fire Lane. Please be aware 

there is NO PARKING allowed at any area along 

the Café walkway, including the entrance! Vehicles 

and golf carts must use regular Town Center parking 

spaces. Please note the interior corners of the Café 

parking lot are also striped yellow and are no parking 

areas as well. Your cooperation and help in providing 

safety for all residents is appreciated.

VillageWalk Budget Review Meeting 

Wednesday February 6th 6:30 pm 

As the VillageWalk community is only 2 or 3 years away 

from handover to its residents, it is a good time to get an 

understanding of how the annual Homeowner’s Association 

budgeting process works. On Wednesday February 6 at 6:30 

pm, Kathyrn Halas, our Town Manager, will provide the VillageWalk 

community with an overview of the 2013 budget and 

how the HOA fees are determined. The volunteer Finance 

Committee will be assisting her in the meeting. No need to

League Play/Coaching 

Team coaching is a BIG PASSION of mine. I have successfully coached the boys varsity 

team at The Community School of Naples advancing to the district tournament. I have taken 

a USTA 3.0 team to Daytona for the state championship and a USTA 3.5 team to Daytona 

for the state championship. (5 players advancing up to 4.0) If you are interested in competitive 

team play as well as personally improving your game I can guarantee success. 

X-FIT TENNIS (crossfit training) 

$65.00 per hour. A customized training program incorporating tennis 

stroke production, agility and fitness. This approach enhances muscle memory
