FLECKVIEH EQUATION 

Fullblood Simmental Sale 

Although the name of the sales have changed throughout the years, the family tree of Fleckvieh Equation still spawn to the original 

North American Fleckvieh sale of Fleckvieh Fest. As of 2009, any of the remaining participants of Fleckvieh Fest, Fleckvieh 

Focus, Fleck Select and Festive Fullbloods are now the combined effort to make up the “Equation”. Additionally new consignors 

are always welcome, through the selection process, to be a part of this most famous annual display of Fullblood Simmental. In 

essence, this is the 23rd annual sale! 

This sale, like Ultimate Red & Black, brings the best of its respective Simmental theme from Canada’s two western-most provinces 

of British Columbia and Alberta. We spend a lot of time and drive a lot of miles to visit the good people involved here and also 

have a chance to market many of their bulls through this sale as well as in their regular bull sales, most specifically, the Red Deer 

Bull Sale, among others. 

Fullblood Simmental breeders have a tendancy to be very astute geneticists, compared to any breed, not just Simmental. It is nice 

to see when phenotype with a desirable pedigree supersede manipulated numbers and ludicrous genetic testing. The Simmental 

breed started down a road not so long ago that was beginning to look dangerous but it looks like once again the character and 

maturity of the Simmental breeder has taken the “right” side of the “Y” in that road and is now again focused on advancing the 

quality over anything else. This is why we are atop the beef “food chain”. 

We have a very large and very exciting semen sale included again. From “golden oldies” to rare imports to modern era polled 

genes, it will all be represented. Study this area carefully as some bulls are selling “by the dose” and some lots are being sold “all 

in”, as a package, even once including the tank it’s in. 

You will want to see this display that will include the best “all of Simmental” assortment, from B.C. and Alberta, and will be presented 

in one day, under one roof. The one day concept, that will be hosted on a Friday, should help to avoid any extracurricular

going to provide. Cufflink is smooth polled, excellent pigmentation, moderate framed, thick, great hair 

coat and out of a flawless FGAF Boss daughter. Cufflink’s cow family is my favorite here. Her mother 

Shianne was selected by Jay the same year we lost her mother XLS 39D, so I just could not let her go. 

She was selected as a bred the following year and stayed home for the same reasons. So by keeping

Crackerjack just keeps making his mark in the polled industry. He is possibly one of 

the most consistent polled producers used in recent years. Crackerjack’s progeny are 

combined with the ease of calving and a lot of get-up-and-grow, with extreme length of 

spine. His females have very tiny, neat udders and wean off a high percentage of their 

body weight. His bulls are highly marketable that go out and work hard and maintain 

good body condition. Both males and females have amazing hoof structure and dispositions. 

Tried and proven genetics are extremely valuable and hard to find. This offering 

of semen is limited and we will be selling it at our discretion in the future. Diamond T 

Simmentals is expecting their second calf crop in January after purchasing the walking
