Stephen Billingham Chairman<br />
Stephen Billingham, 53, joined <strong>Punch</strong> <strong>Taverns</strong> as Non-executive<br />
Chairman in September <strong>2011</strong>. He was Finance Director of British<br />
Energy Group <strong>plc</strong> from 2004 to 2009, playing an instrumental<br />
role in delivering the turnaround and strong performance of the<br />
business, its relisting in 2005, its move up to the FTSE 100 and<br />
its sale to EDF in 2009 for £12.5bn. Prior to this, Stephen was<br />
Group Finance Director of WS Atkins <strong>plc</strong> during its successful<br />
financial recovery, as well as Group Treasurer of BICC <strong>plc</strong><br />
(now Balfour Beatty <strong>plc</strong>) and Severn Trent <strong>plc</strong>. Stephen is<br />
currently a Government-appointed Non-executive Director<br />
and Chairman of the Audit Committee of URENCO. He is<br />
also Chairman of Fountains, the support services company.<br />
Ian Fraser Independent Non-executive Director<br />
Ian Fraser, 54, was appointed as an Independent Non-executive<br />
Director in September 2004. He started his professional career<br />
with Deloitte in Glasgow and Paris, qualifying as an accountant<br />
in 1981. From this he moved to hold various financial positions<br />
with Esmark, Schlumberger and ADT before joining Safeway<br />
Stores in the UK in 1989 as a member of the commercial team.<br />
Following several senior positions Ian was appointed as Buying<br />
Director of Safeway in 1994. In 2000 he joined Orange UK<br />
to lead the Retail and Distribution Division and was appointed<br />
Chief Operating Officer of the UK Group in 2003. In February<br />
2005 he was appointed by CVC as Chief Executive Officer<br />
of Kwik Fit, a position he held until the successful sale to<br />
the Itochu Corporation in June <strong>2011</strong>. Ian is a graduate of the<br />
University of Glasgow, a member of the Institute of Chartered<br />
Accountants in Scotland and a Fellow of the Royal Society for<br />
the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.<br />
He was also invited to become a Keeper of the Quaich in 1997.<br />
