Board of Directors<br />

Roger Whiteside Chief Executive Officer<br />

Roger Whiteside, 53, was appointed Chief Executive Officer<br />

of <strong>Punch</strong> in August <strong>2011</strong> following the demerger of Spirit.<br />

Prior to that he was Managing Director of <strong>Punch</strong> Partnerships,<br />

the leased division of the pre-demerger Group. Prior to joining<br />

<strong>Punch</strong>, Roger was CEO of the Thresher Group and has also held<br />

roles as Joint Managing Director of Ocado and Head of Food for<br />

Marks & Spencer. In addition, Roger is a Non-executive Director<br />

of Greggs <strong>plc</strong>.<br />

Steve Dando Finance Director<br />

Steve Dando, 39, joined <strong>Punch</strong> <strong>Taverns</strong> in 2003 as Chief Accountant<br />

and was promoted to Group Financial Controller in 2009 and<br />

Finance Director in May <strong>2011</strong>. During his time with <strong>Punch</strong>,<br />

Steve has played a major role in the development of the Group<br />

and has a wealth of experience, previously holding a number<br />

of senior finance roles with Courtaulds Plc. Steve is a member<br />

of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales,<br />

having started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.<br />

Ian Dyson Non-executive Director<br />

Ian Dyson, 49, joined <strong>Punch</strong> <strong>Taverns</strong> as Chief Executive Officer<br />

in September 2010. Following the demerger of Spirit in August<br />

<strong>2011</strong>, Ian was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Spirit Pub<br />

Company and became a Non-executive Director of <strong>Punch</strong><br />

<strong>Taverns</strong>. Ian was previously with Marks & Spencer <strong>plc</strong> where<br />

he was Group Finance and Operations Director and prior to that<br />

Group Finance Director. He also held roles as Finance Director of<br />

The Rank Group <strong>plc</strong> and Financial Controller of Hilton Group <strong>plc</strong>.<br />

Ian is also a Non-executive Director of Betfair Limited.<br />

Mark Pain Independent Non-executive Director<br />

Mark Pain, 50, was appointed as an Independent Non-executive<br />

Director in December 2007. Mark brings with him a wealth of<br />

experience as a FTSE 100 main Board Director, covering a range<br />

of sectors, including retail and wholesale banking, consumer<br />

finance, life assurance and general insurance. Mark served as<br />

Chief Financial Officer of Barratt Developments <strong>plc</strong> from 2006<br />

to 2009. He was previously at Abbey National where he held a<br />

number of senior executive and group board positions including<br />

Group Finance Director from 1998 to 2001 and Customer Sales<br />

Director from 2002 to 2005. Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of<br />

Chartered Accountants.
