CAUTION<br />
Oxygen enrichment should never be carried out while diving is in progress.<br />
1. Ensure GAS BOOSTER IS RUNNING.<br />
2. Set the O 2 regulator on the oxygen panel to 40 bar.<br />
3. Shut the vent valve.<br />
4. Open the supply-cross connect valve on the control panel. The gas booster will<br />
now circulate gas from the volume tank to the reprocessing unit inlet.<br />
5. Measure the time required to increase the oxygen content to the desired level<br />
from Table .8.5.7<br />
6. Open the O 2 supply valve on the make-up panel <strong>and</strong> note the time.<br />
7. Shut the O 2 supply valve when the appropriate amount of time has elapsed or<br />
when the O 2 analyser indicates that the desired mix has been obtained.<br />
8. Open the vent valve.<br />
9. Allow the system to continue to cycle through the supply-exhaust cross connect<br />
valve for several minutes, while monitoring the O 2 analyser ensuring a steady reading<br />
<strong>and</strong> complete mixing of the gas.<br />
Helium dilution may be achieved by venting the system, partially or completely <strong>and</strong> repressurising<br />
with gas of the appropriate mixture.<br />
