1.9.9 Second Level - The Jewel is a two stage valve with a second stage diaphragm spring<br />
controlling an interstage suction of 30 to 60 cm of H 2 O between the first <strong>and</strong> second stage<br />
diaphragms.<br />
1.9.10 Third Level - If a leak were to occur on the Jewel the dem<strong>and</strong> regulator would see the<br />
leak as an inhalation <strong>and</strong> would flow sufficient gas to prevent de-pressurisation of the helmet.<br />
1.9.11 Fourth Level - In the event of the diver losing his gas supply the SAECO valve will<br />
close off the exhaust.<br />
1.9.12 Fifth Level - The diver at any time can close of the Jewel Valve by rotating the Jewel<br />
shut off valve 90 o , the diver can now exhaust his gas to the sea through Jewel open circuit valve<br />
assembly.<br />
