• Out of 860 students, 520 took the
Laptop Survey
• The younger the student, the more
likely she was to take the survey.
• We had 72 seniors and 195 freshmen
to take it.

Advantages

Other Advantages
1. Less of a book fee
2. It would give student access to school programs for classes like
journalism and graphic design at home.
3. Less hassle to carry around heavy text books.
4. Wouldn't have to worry about different versions of word/power
point/etc for printing things or presenting things at school
5. All my homework will be saved on my computer that I can take
home with me
6. It would be easier to keep things organized (like notes and
worksheets)
7. Teachers will be able to read everything I write - I have messy
handwriting
8. At home I have a brother who also needs a computer, so having
my own would mean I wouldn't have to wait.
9. Since I dance we could use it on our breaks at the studio

1. I would be worried if it didn't have enough charge on it for class.
2. In math and science courses it is especially hard to do work on
the computer.
3. I am afraid I would Forget and leave it at home.
4. I wouldn't have a nice case to carry it around in.
5. I would be worried about the lack of papers available a ab in hard
copies and that it would be a more difficult way of learning for
some students.
6. I would not use it because I have my own laptop.
7. it would be too hard to keep track of during after school activities
like sports.
8. I would be afraid that I would get distracted.
9. I feel that with the majority of students trying to access internet at
the same time it would back up the server and run very slowly.
10.Other people that lose theirs would want to borrow mine and
damage it/get on my nerves.
11.Im I'm a kinetic learner and need to write to understand and
remember things.
12.Eye strain.
