• LIBERTY SHIELD<br />
• A comprehensive national plan designed to increase protection for America’s<br />
citizens and infrastructure while maintaining the free flow <strong>of</strong> goods and people<br />
across our border with minimal disruption to our economy and way <strong>of</strong> life.<br />
• PROJECT 180<br />
• A project targeting measurable improvements in security at the Liberty Shield sites<br />
during the first 180 days <strong>of</strong> DHS operations. This project will allow resources to be<br />
shifted from high intensity, low efficiency security measures as described above to<br />
security enhancements that are efficient and sustainable.<br />
• U.S. VISIT<br />
• United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology (U.S. VISIT)<br />
program is the <strong>Department</strong>’s automated entry/exit system, which will expedite<br />
legitimate travelers, while making it more difficult for those intending to do us harm<br />
to enter our nation.<br />
