The first cohort of Gordon’s Teacher
Residency Program has been busy
this summer taking coursework
with Gordon’s faculty. This July, they
explored the school’s pond with
Jacqui Ketner as part of Blinn Dorsey’s
class, Standards-Based Science in
the Elementary Classroom.
SUSTAINABLE HARVEST
This July, former Middle School Spanish teacher Mel Bride brought Mackenzie
Cater ’07, Alexa Bourque ’08, Holden Rhodes ’09, Ami Coulibaly ’10,
Allie Fuller ’10 and Jonah Parker ’10 to Panama for a volunteer trip through
Sustainable Harvest International. The program’s mission is to provide farming
families in Central America the training and tools to preserve the planet’s
tropical forests while overcoming poverty.

On June 8th, the graduating Class
of 2010 buried their time capsule
at the front entrance of the school.
