Chronische Hepatitis B zählt nach wie
vor zu den häufigsten Infektionskrankheiten
– weltweit sind etwa 350 Millionen
Menschen infiziert. In Österreich
ausheilen. Kommt es innerhalb
von sechs Monaten zu keiner Heilung,
entwickelt sich die chronische Form der
Hepatitis B. Dabei wird die Leber langsam
zerstört, was zum Tod führen kann.
Daher muss bei der chronischen Hepatitis
B je nach Krankheitsverlauf eine
medikamentöse Therapie in Erwägung
gezogen werden.
Chronic hepatitis B is still one of the
most widespread infectious diseases,
with around 350 million people around
the world affected. Up to 1,500 new
cases are diagnosed in Austria every year.
Hepatitis B – the tenth most-frequent
cause of death – is a hundred times more
infectious than the AIDS virus.
Hepatitis B causes inflammation of the
liver. Acute hepatitis B can be cured by
our immune system. Should it not be
cured within six months, the chronic
form of hepatitis B develops. This gradually
destroys the liver, and can kill. For
this reason, depending on the pathogenesis,
the administration of medication
must be considered for the treatment of
chronic hepatitis B.
Hronični hepatitis B ubraja se i nadalje
u najčešća infektivna oboljenja,
širom svijeta inficirano je oko 350
milijuna ljudi. U Austriji godišnje
ima do 1.500 novo oboljelih osoba.
Hepatitis B je deseti po redu
najčešći uzrok smrti i sto
puta je zarazniji od virusa
AIDS-a.
Kod hepatitisa B
dolazi do upale jetre.
U akutnom stadiju naš
imuni sustav može da
izliječi oboljenje. Ako
u roku od šest mjeseci
ne dođe do izlječenja,
razvija se hronični oblik
hepatitisa B. Pritom dolazi do
sporog uništenja jetre, što može dovesti do
smrti. Stoga se kod hroničnog hepatitisa B
zavisno od toka oboljenja mora razmotriti
mogućnost terapije lijekovima.
