\Application procedures\
1. Applicants should first come in person with your valid passport
to the Pre-University Program Office;
2. Submit a senior high school graduation certificate, official
transcripts for the last three years of senior high school, and the
certificate of HSK level 4(or above) or official transcript of one
year of full-time Chinese language training;
3. After reviewing the above materials, Peking University will
provide qualified applicants the Application Form for Preenrollment
International Students;
4. The qualified applicants should then submit the following
materials to the International Students Division of Peking
University by May 20, 2011:
* Completed Application Form for Pre-enrollment
International Students with photo on it;
* Senior high school graduation certificate and official
transcripts (original documents or notarized copies by
authoritative organizations);
* One photocopy of your valid passport (Passport type must
be ordinary)
* One letter of recommendation;
* Letter from financial guarantor indicating his or her name,
profession, telephone number, and contact address;
* Letter from sponsor in China, indicating his or her name,
working unit, telephone number, and permanent address.
* Application fee: 400RMB (cash or Yinlian Bank card).
Non-refundable.

(Note: Applications with incomplete materials or without the required
application fee will not be processed.)
\Tuition fee and Housing fees\
1. Tuition Fee: 26,000RMB per year per person (teaching
materials are not included), which must be paid in full on the day
of registration.
2. Housing fees: Peking University provides students with
accommodation in the Posts and Telecommunications Hotel,
located 500 meters west of the main campus.
Apartments: 58 RMB per day per bed. Two- or three-room
apartment with two beds in each room, equipped with air
conditioner, color TV, telephone, bathroom, and room-cleaning
service.
Single room: 95RMB per day per room.
\Medical insurance\
Peking University’s regulations require that all international
students must be medically insured throughout their entire
planned period of study. Students are required to purchase the
Comprehensive Insurance Plan of Foreign Students provided by
Ping An insurance company on the day of registration, which has
been recognized and recommended by the Chinese Ministry of
Education. Students who do not have valid medical insurance are
not allowed to register.

\Admission\
Upon acceptance, the University will send the "Notification of
Admission to Peking University” and "Visa Application Form for
Foreigners" (Form JW202) by the end of June,2011.
\Visa information\
Students admitted to PKU may apply for your visa at the Chinese
Embassy/Consulate in your country with your letter of admission
and JW202 form. International students who will study in China
for over 6 months are required to obtain ‘X’ Visa, which will only
be valid for 30 days after your arrival in China. You must come
to the International Students Division and apply for a Residence
Permit within these 30 days in order to obtain a legal status in
China. Study period within 6 months can apply for F visa.
