\Application Fee\
800 RMB, paid in cash, by Yinlian bank card or through online
payment. Any other currency or travel check would not be
accepted. The application fee is not refundable.
Please note that incomplete application materials or application
without application fee will not be processed.

October 15, 2010 to December 17, 2010. Please make sure
mailed materials arrive before the deadline.

between 2 similar majors within one specific college or

\Interview\
Once proved qualified, the application materials will be sent to
the department or faculty where you wish to study. They will
consider your application and contact the qualified students to
attend the interview before the end of March 2011.

\Medical insurance\
Peking University’s regulations require that all international
students must be medically insured throughout their entire
planned period of study. Students are required to purchase the
Comprehensive Insurance Plan of Foreign Students provided by
Ping An insurance company on the day of registration, which
has been recognized and recommended by the Chinese Ministry
of Education. Students who do not have valid medical insurance
are not allowed to register.
\Accommodation information\
There are different types of housing facilities for international
students at PKU.

foreign students at Peking University, you are welcome to visit

Self-funded Students are required to find their own living
accommodation. Please note that students who live off campus
must register to the local police station within 24 hours.
\Visa information\
Students admitted to PKU may apply for your visa at the
Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your country with your letter
of admission and JW202 form. International students who will
study in China for over 6 months are required to obtain ‘X’
Visa, which will only be valid for 30 days after your arrival in
China. You must come to the International Students Division
and apply for a Residence Permit within these 30 days in order
to obtain a legal status in China. Study period within 6 months
can apply for F visa.
