Also thanked the PTA parents for their help with the reception.
Introduced Student Board member Dustin Byer, senior at Rancho Buena
Vista High School.
Member Hubbard moved approval of the agenda, seconded by
Member Guffanti. All in favor passed unanimously.
Jan O’Reilly president of VTA appreciated the celebration and stated it
was a wonderful event. Ms. O’Reilly requested that the Local
Educational Agency (LEA) plan that is to be approved tonight by the
Board be tabled. She has questions/concerns on some of the items
cited in the plan and would like to give other people a chance to review
this plan adequately. Expressed her concerns on the VIMS and Reading
First grants that the District will not be receiving this year. Those monies
enhance our programs.
