The emotion of freedom,

the safety of technology

No-compromise freedom
Get ready to confront the challenge of freedom: outstanding
performance, exclusive design, safety embedded in every detail,
cutting-edge sensor system to process data recorded during
movement, extended autonomy, versatility, and simplicity
of use.
All this is REL-K®, the innovative Made in Italy Electronic Knee
developed by Rizzoli Ortopedia to respond to the mobility needs
of transfemoral amputees who want to live their lives fully, with
no compromises.
Regaining your freedom is now possible: choose REL-K®,
and give yourself the absolute best!
Innovation in movement
The REL-K® Electronic Knee by Rizzoli Ortopedia is a revolutionary
approach to the mobility and rehabilitation needs of lower
limb amputees.
With its innovative sensor system, the REL-K® can measure the
forces applied during the gait cycle up to 1000 times a second,
implementing an optimal logical control of braking that enables
extraordinary adaptability to various conditions and roughness
of the terrain, making walking absolutely fluid, safe, and natural.
The data stored by the system are always available.

Safety and Versatility
Every detail has been designed to guarantee users the maximum
level of safety and autonomy.
Up to four different operating modes can be set, which are easily
modified thanks to the remote control provided. The orthopaedic
technician, in consultation with the user, sets the modes at the moment
of prosthesis fitting; depending on the individual needs, further
settings and modifications are always possible.
The REL-K® Electronic Knee does not require specific components
for anchoring the foot and is therefore fully compatible with the
standard tubular structures.
In just one word: autonomy
REL-K® employs a removable battery, positioned on the upper
part of the tibia, which is easily accessible from the seated position
and is safe and simple to replace. The batteries are also
rechargeable externally using a dedicated charger; the device is
also compatible with commercially available power supplies.
The basic kit includes a second battery, which makes it possible
to extend the operating autonomy of the device to a much greater
duration than devices with an internal battery.
