options, the FIVE SENSES system range and the
SUBWAY bathroom collection enable the creation
of stylistically differing rooms with the same fl oor
plan.

for small bathrooms

The colour and format systems of the tile concepts
and the diversity of the O.NOVO bathroom
collection prove particularly useful in small
rooms. According to personal preference,
bathrooms can be either discreet or sport
colourful accents and both styles can be
used in a single room on different walls.
Depending on the tile range, the formats for
the wall are 30 x 60, 25 x 50 and 25 x 35 cm –
all featuring the easy-care ceramicplus fi nish.
With décor tiles, borders and mosaics, there is
a wealth of possible laying patterns.
The vilbostone fl oor tiles in dimensions 30 x 30
and 30 x 60 cm are available in matching colours.
For areas with an increased danger of slipping,
two fl oor tiles are available with class R9 slip
resistance. Walk-in showers can be tiled with the
mosaic format in R9/barefoot class A.

tiles in 8 colour tones allow plenty of scope
for harmonious designs throughout the home.
The fi ne colour gradations are ideal for creating
highlights or for combinations to produce
different nuances in living areas and bedrooms,

All fl oor tiles feature the vilbostoneplus surface
fi nish that makes them easy-care from day one.

A kitchen
for all the senses
The advantage of the FIVE SENSES system lies
in the ability to combine colours and formats.
Depending on which tile colour is chosen, the
kitchen can have a sleek and modern or warm,
Mediterranean atmosphere.
Both the mosaic tiles and the fl oor tiles consist
of high-quality vilbostone with the easy-care
vilbostoneplus fi nish. This porcelain stoneware
from Villeroy & Boch is suitable for both indoors
and outdoors. Two colours also have a slipresistant
surface.

Structured colour
scheme for modern
living
Colours affect the way we feel. They appear
pleasant, cheerful, warm or cold. In the same
way we talk about “tone colours” in music,
so we experience colours as “colour tones”.
The close association with music illustrates its
strong infl uence on human feelings. They are
loud or quiet, harmonious or shrill. As “music
for the eyes”, they are particularly important in
contemporary furnishings.
The FIVE SENSES range of tiles is based on
the teachings of colour philosophy and colour
psychology. The designer Peter Zoernak has
selected a group of colours that can be combined
to create a special harmony: “Each individual
yearns for a very specifi c, sunny colour scheme
that will help him to fi nd an inner balance.
Soft, pastel, light and clear colour
tones create a natural colour scheme.”
The concept is divided into 5 colour ranges,
each with 4 tile variants and 1 border. In addition,
8 fi nely-matched fl oor colours add the fi nishing
touch to the range.

process which helps to conserve our
natural resources.
V&B Fliesen GmbH is the fi rst German tile
manufacturer to be certifi ed in accordance with
the latest criteria of the EMAS III standard which
is recognised throughout Europe.
As a result of exemplary and forward-looking
environmental management, all the locations of
V & B Fliesen GmbH have been inspected under
the terms of the regulation of the European
Parli ament regarding voluntary participation in
a Community eco-management and audit
scheme (EMAS III) and duly certifi ed.
The EMAS eco management and audit system is
one of the strictest in the fi eld of environmental
protection. The regulation specifi es measurable
environmental targets that go beyond current
legislation. The aim is to apply sustainable concepts
in all areas as a means of continually
improving all corporate processes for the benefi t
of the environment.
The fundamental quality principles applying
to our tiles also contribute to ecological thinking
and action. The responsible use and handling of
energy, emissions, raw materials and production

Our designs are not subject to short-term fashion

The ceramicplus fi nish is applied to our nonvitreous
wall tiles at the factory. Our tiles thus
require much less care. Often, the only cleaning
materials that are required are water and a cloth;
aggressive cleaning agents are redundant.
vilbostone porcelain stoneware tiles from
Villeroy & Boch meet the highest aesthetic and
technical quality standards. Thanks to the special
hardness and density of the material, they have
a long service life, are robust, colourfast and
resistant to both chemicals and frost for inside
and outside areas.
vilbostoneplus further enhances the properties
of all matt porcelain stoneware tiles: during the
manufacturing process, the structure of the tile
surface is sealed to such an extent as to further
increase the tiles’ resistance to staining and dirt,
as a result of which subsequent treatment of
matt tiles with impregnating agents becomes
unnecessary.
