LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR EXEMPTION CATEGORIES 2012 HELP SHEET
Below is the complete list of Ladies European Tour Exemption Rankings for the 2012 season.
Categories in the red boxes are established through participation in the Ladies European Tour Qualifying
School 2012. Eligibility for these categories and a player’s position within the category is subject to individual
competitor performance at the Ladies European Tour Qualifier School 2012.
The categories are listed in order of priority into a tournament field i.e. any category 4 entries for a
tournament will receive a spot in the field in priority above any category 5 entries. It is only after the closing
date for entries that players know if their entry has successfully gained a spot in a tournament field.
Players that enter a tournament but have not gained a spot in the field (based on category order and position)
will be placed on the reserve list in category order and position.
The following is the category of the last player to gain a spot in the field (at the close of entries) of the Ladies
European Tour Ranking Tournaments for the first 11 tournaments of the 2011 Schedule:
• Category 5 held the last exempt place in 3 Tournaments (please note 2 X Australia, 1 X New Zealand)
i.e. no player with a category from 6 and below gained a spot in the field at the close of entries.
• Category 9a held the last exempt place in 1 Tournament i.e. no player with a category from 8b and
below gained a spot in the field at the close of entries.
• Category 9b held the last exempt place in 5 Tournaments i.e. no player with a category from 10 and
below gained a spot in the field at the close of entries.
• Category 11a held the last exempt place in 2 Tournaments i.e. no player with a category from 11b
and below gained a spot in the field at the close of entries.
• Please note Category 8a got into 8 out of the first 11 tournaments.
Ladies European Tour Exemption Rankings 2012
1) Life Members (lifetime exemption).
2) Winners of the Exemption Ranking (formerly Order of Merit/Money list), Women’s British Open and Evian
Masters (commencing Evian 2002).
Ten year exemption
3a) Ladies European Tour Ranking Tournament Winners.
2 year exemption plus year of win
Multiple winners 1 extra year
3b) Ladies European Tour Team Event Winners.
1 year exemption plus year of win
4) Members of the last named European Solheim Cup Team.
5) The top 80 from the final 2011 Exemption Ranking.
6a) A number of sponsor’s invitations which shall usually number 10 nominated by the host Federation/Golf
Union and 1 by the Tour. This may include amateurs with a handicap of 3 or less.

6b) Top 2 in the top 20 in the current (Henderson) Money list at the closing date for entries, not otherwise
exempt.
6c) The leading LET member (not otherwise exempt) finishing within positions 1- 10 of the Womens British Open
Championship, Evian or LET full field tournament will qualify to play in the following LET full field tournament,
provided the applicable tournament weeks run consecutively in the calendar year.
6d) Top three (3) Members not otherwise exempt in the top 50 from current updated Career Money List at closing
date for entries (Career Money List to be updated after each Tournament).
6e) One (1) player (highest ranking) from the top 100 from the Women’s World Golf Rankings as at closing date
that has entered.
Note: where the field is extended to accommodate a recognised qualifying procedure these players will form
Category 6f.
7) LET Access Series Qualifiers
Maximum of three (3) spots from the final field rankings (as determined by the LET Access Series
Regulations) of the 2011 LET Access Series provided that, in each case, the relevant player:
i) Does not already hold a higher LET exempt status; and
ii) Has applied for and is accepted as a Full Member of the Ladies European Tour for the 2012 season
pursuant to these Members’ Regulations.
8a) Qualifying School: the top 30 from the Ladies European Tour Qualifying School (Final Qualifying) for the 2012
Season.
8b) The top 2 Non Members who finish highest in the 2011 Season with earnings from Ladies European Tour
Ranking Tournaments equivalent to the top 80 of the final money list 2011 may be invited to join the LET.
9a) Players in position 81 - 90 from the 2011 Exemption Ranking.
9b) Qualifying School: Players who make the Final Cut at the Ladies European Tour Final Qualifying School 2012
and finish in positions 31 and below.
Categories 9a) and 9b) will be merged following a re-rank thereafter being viewed as one category (Category 9). A
second re-rank may occur depending on the number of tournaments. Members will be advised in advance of any
re-ranks.
10) Founder Members who have won Official Ranking tournaments.
11a) All other members ranked according to the 2011 Final Career Money List. For those in equal positions the
effective date of tournament entry will be used where necessary. Players who qualify for Final Qualifying
School 2012 and fail to make the final cut.
11b) Players competing in Pre-Qualifying School who fail to qualify for Final Qualifying School.
12) Associate Members and those other Members who choose to adopt an inactive status.
13) Non Members who are not eligible under category 6.
