opportunity to make two guest soaps using a glycerin<br />

base melt-and-pour method, scent and color two<br />

two-ounce bottles of lotion, and scent and color two<br />

four-ounce tubes of bath salts. Special heart design<br />

molds will be available. Creativity abounds with nine<br />

soap bases, 70 scents, 14 colors and all the herbs and<br />

glitter you can imagine. Everthing is supplied except<br />

Develop your skills as a poet through craft discussions,<br />

introduction to contemporary poets, in-class<br />

writing exercises and assignments. Participants will be<br />

encouraged to experiment with various techniques<br />

and forms in order to enhance their poetic voice and<br />

vision. Become a confident critic of your own and<br />

others’ poems while learning the tools of revision.<br />

This class, open to poets at all levels of experience,<br />

promises a supportive community of writers and the<br />

creation of an expanded body of work. Barbara<br />

Rockman has been teaching poetry in the <strong>Santa</strong> <strong>Fe</strong><br />

region for eight years and has an MFA in creative<br />

writing.
