management, exploring the desktop and icons, using<br />

toolbars, and simplifying work by using shortcuts and<br />

searches. This course is for individuals with little or<br />

no knowledge of Windows.<br />

This hands-on, leisurely course provides an introduction<br />

to Microsoft’s word-processing program. It covers<br />

important Microsoft Word fundamentals, including<br />

creating a document and saving it, using toolbars<br />

and the ruler bar, and moving around within a document.<br />

Formatting (font, alignment, etc.) and page<br />

setup (margins, orientation) are also covered, along<br />

with cut/copy/paste, AutoCorrect, find/replace and<br />

spell check. Students should be familiar with the<br />

Windows environment.<br />
