Are you getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day or wanting
to get in touch with your Irish ancestry This entertaining
class will introduce you to Irish traditional
music on the popular tin whistle. Basic scales, patterns
and fingerings are demonstrated and explained
in order to help students understand the structure of
Irish music. The cost of the tin whistle is included in
the course fee. Gerry Carthy, from County Mayo,
Ireland, is a professional musician who also teaches
Irish traditional music on a variety of instruments.

Chase Morrison

tunes and reading the bass clef. Chase Morrison
comes to SFCC with years of teaching and playing
experience. She was a modern cello pupil of George
Neikrug and was principal and assistant principal cellist
of the Tasmanian and Melbourne Symphonies.

This is a voice class for adults of all ages who want to
learn to sing or to improve their singing. The course
CONTINUING EDUCATION ADULT COURSES
is founded on the premise that singing is a learned
skill. With skills developed, everyone can learn to
sing! Vocal skills will be taught in a fun and unintimidating
way so that by the end of the course all participants
will be able to sing for joy! There is no class

photo magic in this hands-on class that covers all the
techniques you need — from basic developing and
printing of black-and-white film to making and reading
contact sheets, dodging and burning, and more.
Discover how to fine-tune your results by using test
prints and different exposures. The emphasis is on
composition and print quality to support and expand
your personal vision. Diane DiRoberto is an advertising
and marketing professional who freelanced in
New York for such clients as American Express and
Calvin Klein. She now owns and operates The
Darkroom.
