Configuring the <strong>QLogic</strong> <strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Manager</strong><br />

The following example, will start the Sm, Fe and Bm for the first FM Instance, but<br />

it will not start the Pm. The second FM Instance will be started with an Sm, Fe,<br />

and Pm but no Bm.<br />

Typically, individual managers will be controlled in the Common section and Fm<br />

Instance startup will be controlled in the Fm.Shared section. In most<br />

configurations, only a single FM Instance will be run with all managers started, in<br />

which case the default qlogic_fm.xml file can be used as provided.<br />

NOTE:<br />

The SM and the PM are unified. As such in order to enable the PM to Start,<br />

its corresponding SM must be enabled. However it is valid to enable the SM<br />

to start without enabling the PM.<br />
