3–Fabric Manager Configuration
Configuring the QLogic Fabric Manager
The xml parser will quietly ignore any unrecognized parameter or section. This
capability allows for forward and backward compatibility of the configuration files.
It will be possible to use newer configuration files (which may have additional
parameters) on an older version of the QLogic Fabric Manager. This has the
negative risk that a mistyped parameter may be silently ignored and defaulted. To
help avoid such mistakes it is recommended to start with the sample configuration
file and edit or cut and paste parameters as needed. Also the config_check tool
can be run in strict mode (-s option) to report any unrecognized tags.
The default QLogic Fabric Manager configuration file provided shows all of the
tags and provides detailed comments as to their meaning.
