To stop the SM Loop Test:
/opt/qlogic_fm/bin/fm_cmd smLooptestStop
Setup the Configuration File to Run the SM Loop Test
The QLogic fabric manager configuration file can be set up to automatically run
the SM loop test when the master fabric manager is started. The parameters are
added to the Miscellaneous section of the configuration file and can include the
following three items:
• Run at start up:

1 = enabled
0 = disabled
• Run in fast mode:
1
1 = enabled
0 = disabled
Once fast mode is enabled, whenever loop test is started it will use the fast
mode.
• Set the number of packets injected for each test run:
4
With fast mode, you will need around 4 packets to get a high utilization on
the links.
