A–<strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> Command Line Interface<br />

config_generate<br />

Interactively generates a <strong>QLogic</strong> <strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> XML configuration file.<br />

Syntax<br />

Path:<br />

config_generate [-e] dest_file<br />

/opt/qlogic_fm/etc/<br />

Keywords -e<br />

Generate file for embedded FM (For example, don’t prompt for features not<br />

applicable to embedded such as multiple FM instances). Default is to generate a<br />

file for host FM.<br />

dest_file<br />

Name of file to generate.<br />

Notes<br />

Examples<br />

This command presently allows interactive selection of the following FM<br />

configuration parameters:<br />

• SubnetSize<br />

• LMC (multi-LID control)<br />

• AdaptiveRouting (Enable, LostRouteOnly, Tier1FatTree)<br />

• LogMode<br />

• NodeAppearanceMsgThreshold<br />

• Which FM instances should be enabled<br />

• Name for each FM Instance<br />

• IPoIB MulticastGroup Rate and MTU for each FM instance<br />

• FM primary or secondary status for failover for each FM instance<br />

• sticky failover<br />

• SubnetPrefix for each FM instance<br />

• Performance <strong>Manager</strong><br />

Sweep Interval<br />

Logging Thresholds<br />

Number of PM/PA clients<br />

Number of historical images to retain<br />

When using an embedded FM, this command is also available on hosts with<br />

Fast<strong>Fabric</strong> installed in the /opt/iba/fm_tools directory.<br />

config_generate my_fm_config.xml<br />
