1–Overview of the QLogic Fabric Manager Suite
Multiple Subnet Support in Host QLogic Fabric Manager
QLogic CCA allows CCA to be configured per MPI application through a simple
set of PSM environment variables. Additional PSM debug logging can be enabled
to facilitate analysis of PSM CCA events when needed.
The QLogic Fabric Manager configuration file allows CCA settings to be
configured for switches and non-QLogic IBTA compliant Host Channel Adapters.
Multiple Subnet Support in Host QLogic Fabric
Manager
The host QLogic Fabric Manager suite may be used to manage more than one
subnet, sometimes described as “multiple planes”. Multiple planes are distinct
isolated fabrics for which there is no interaction between ports in different fabrics.
Refer to Figure 1-2.
Figure 1-2. Multiple Subnet Support in Host QLogic Fabric Manager
As long as a host server has multiple Host Channel Adapter ports, the host
QLogic Fabric Manager can be configured to run separate “instances” over each
Host Channel Adapter port available. Each Host Channel Adapter port is cabled to
a separate plane, and the configuration denotes which port the instance should
use to access the fabric.
