Subnet Management Group CLI Commands<br />

Determining the Active <strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Manager</strong><br />

In a configuration with multiple <strong>QLogic</strong> or SilverStorm switches, use the following<br />

CLI command to determine the active <strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>:<br />

smShowMasterLid<br />

To determine if this FM is the master, use the following CLI command:<br />

smControl status<br />

Similar information can also be obtained using the Fast<strong>Fabric</strong> CLI commands:<br />

fabric_info, iba_top, iba_saquery or iba_report.<br />

Subnet Management Group CLI Commands<br />

The following pages define the group CLI commands and give the syntax, options<br />

and a sample output of each. With the exception of the smConfig,<br />

smPmBmStart, smShowConfig and smResetConfig commands, these<br />

commands only act against the Management Card presently logged into. In order<br />

to act on the FM running on the slave management card, it is necessary to login<br />

into that card.<br />

Operational Controls<br />

The following commands control the configuration and operation of the <strong>Fabric</strong><br />

<strong>Manager</strong>.<br />
