Activating/Deactivating the Embedded Fabric
Manager
If the embedded Fabric Manager (FM) has been purchased, it requires a license
key to activate it using Chassis Viewer or command line interface (CLI) command.
The license key information is shipped with the InfiniBand Fabric Suite software.
For detailed information on activating the Fabric Manager, refer to the “License
Keys; Key Administration” section of the applicable QLogic or SilverStorm product
Users Guide.
The information available in the Chassis CLI is also available using FastFabric.
For each command some FastFabric commands which can provide similar
information are also provided.
Viewing the Fabric
To determine if the embedded Fabric Manager can see the fabric, use the
following CLI command:
smShowMasterLid
Alternatively more information about the fabric can be obtained using the following
CLI command:
smShowLids
Similar information can also be obtained using the FastFabric commands:
fabric_info, iba_top, iba_saquery or iba_report.
Refer to the QLogic FastFabric CLI Reference Guide for more information on
these commands and their options.
