Fm Instance Shared Parameters<br />

Any parameter that can be used in the Common.Shared section may also be<br />

used in the Fm.Shared section.<br />

Table 3-34 describes parameters that are used in the Shared subsection of Fm<br />

section.<br />

Hca = local Host Channel Adapter to use<br />

for Fm Instance, 1=1st Host Channel<br />

Adapter<br />

Port = local Host Channel Adapter port<br />

to use for Fm instance, 1=1st Port<br />

PortGUID = local Host Channel Adapter<br />

port to use for Fm instance<br />

If PortGUID is 0, it is ignored and<br />

Hca/Port is used. When PortGUID is<br />

non-zero, it will be used and Hca/Port<br />

will be ignored.<br />

These parameters are ignored for the<br />

Embedded <strong>Fabric</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>.<br />

Unique subnet prefix to assign to this<br />

<strong>Fabric</strong>. The same subnet prefix must be<br />

used by all redundant SMs on a given<br />

fabric.<br />
