Configuring the QLogic Fabric Manager
Fm Instance Shared Parameters
Any parameter that can be used in the Common.Shared section may also be
used in the Fm.Shared section.
Table 3-34 describes parameters that are used in the Shared subsection of Fm
section.

Each QLogic Fabric Manager runs on a
single local Host Channel Adapter port,
The port may be specified by Hca and
Port or by PortGuid
Hca = local Host Channel Adapter to use
for Fm Instance, 1=1st Host Channel
Adapter
Port = local Host Channel Adapter port
to use for Fm instance, 1=1st Port
PortGUID = local Host Channel Adapter
port to use for Fm instance
If PortGUID is 0, it is ignored and
Hca/Port is used. When PortGUID is
non-zero, it will be used and Hca/Port
will be ignored.
These parameters are ignored for the
Embedded Fabric Manager.
Unique subnet prefix to assign to this
Fabric. The same subnet prefix must be
used by all redundant SMs on a given
fabric.
