3–Fabric Manager Configuration Configuring the QLogic Fabric Manager Adaptive Routing The parameters in Table 3-14 control Adaptive Routing configuration for the QLogic QDR Switches in the fabric. 3–Fabric Manager Configuration Configuring the QLogic Fabric Manager Dynamic Packet Lifetime DynamicPacketLifetime and PacketLifetime controls the PktLifetime reported in PathRecord queries. PktLifetime is used by IBTA compliant applications to set the Queue Pair timeout and retry intervals. Per the IBTA algorithm the Queue Pair timeout will typically be two-times or four-times these values. When DynamicPacketLifetime is enabled, the PktLifetime reported will depend on number of switch hops. Hops01 is PktLifetime for one-hop paths, Hops02 is two-hop paths, etc. When DynamicPacketLifetime is disabled, the PacketLifetime is reported as the PKtLifetime for all paths.
