2. FUEL SELECTOR FULLEST TANK
Verify that the FUEL SELECTOR is on the FULLEST TANK.
3. GEAR ALERT TEST SWITCH PUSH/TEST
Momentarily PUSH the GEAR ALERT TEST SWITCH located beneath the
Landing Gear Selector. The “test okay” aural callout should be heard. If the
“test okay” aural callout is not heard, continue the landing using the normal
landing gear indicating and warning systems to verify the landing gear
position, terminate the flight, and notify Fleet Maintenance.
WARNING
If at any time during approach to landing the “check landing
gear” aural warning sounds, the normal gear warning horn
sounds, or any abnormal landing gear indication occurs, the
pilot must execute a go-around.
4. MIXTURE ENRICHEN
ENRICHEN the MIXTURE throughout the descent for smooth engine
operation.
5. LIGHTS ON
Ensure that the LIGHTS are ON as appropriate:
- Day: Ensure that the landing light and strobe lights are ON for
collision avoidance.
- Night: Ensure that the landing light and strobe lights are ON for
increased visibility and collision avoidance. Nav lights should be ON
per 14 CFR Part 91.209.
6. AVIONICS/FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS CHECK/SET
CHECK the FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS by verifying that the current
barometric pressure is SET in the Kollsman window and that the HSI is
SET to the magnetic compass (known heading). Set the heading bug to
