Continue with ENGINE START FLOW<br />

Hot Start - Oil Temperature at or greater than 180°F.<br />

1. ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP ................................ ON/CHECK PRESSURE<br />

2. MIXTURE CONTROL .................................................... IDLE CUT-OFF<br />

3. THROTTLE ............................................................................ OPEN ½”<br />

4. PRIME ................................................................................ COMPLETE<br />

Continue with ENGINE START FLOW<br />

If a flooded engine is suspected:<br />

1. ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP ................................................................ OFF<br />

2. MIXTURE CONTROL .................................................... IDLE CUT-OFF<br />

3. THROTTLE ................................................................ FULL FORWARD<br />

4. STARTER .............................................................................. ENGAGE<br />

After engine starts:<br />

5. MIXTURE CONTROL ................................FULL FORWARD (Full Rich)<br />

6. THROTTLE ........................................................................... 1000 RPM<br />

Continue with ENGINE START FLOW<br />

NOTE<br />

If the engine fails to start, wait several minutes for the fuel to<br />

drain from the cylinders before attempting a subsequent<br />

restart. Waiting time will depend on ambient air temperatures,<br />

engine temperatures, and battery voltage. If a subsequent start<br />

attempt is unsuccessful, contact the Fleet Maintenance<br />

Department.<br />
