CABIN DOOR OPEN IN FLIGHT CHECKLIST<br />
If the cabin door is not latched at the top or side, the door will<br />
trail, slightly open. Normal flight characteristic will not be<br />
affected. No attempt should be made to close the entry door<br />
until the aircraft is in a safe area at a safe altitude.<br />
To close the cabin door in flight:<br />
1. AIRSPEED ............................................................................... 87 KIAS<br />
2. CABIN VENTS ........................................................................... CLOSE<br />
3. STORM WINDOW ....................................................................... OPEN<br />
Close the cabin door as appropriate:<br />
4. ONLY TOP OPEN ............................................... PULL STRAP/LATCH<br />
5. ONLY SIDE OPEN ......................................... PULL ARMREST/LATCH<br />
6. CABIN DOOR OPEN ........... LATCH SIDE LATCH, THEN TOP LATCH<br />
7. CABIN DOOR OPEN IN FLIGHT CHECKLIST ................... COMPLETE<br />
To close the cabin door in flight:<br />
1. AIRSPEED 87 KIAS<br />
Maintain an AIRSPEED of 87 KIAS to allow the cabin door to be swung<br />
open slightly to before closing.<br />
2. CABIN VENTS CLOSE<br />
CLOSE all CABIN VENTS.<br />
3. STORM WINDOW OPEN<br />
OPEN the pilot’ side STORM WINDOW to allow air to escape when closing<br />
the cabin door.<br />
Close the cabin door as appropriate:<br />
4. ONLY TOP OPEN PULL STRAP/LATCH<br />
If ONLY the TOP of the cabin door is OPEN, PULL the top door STRAP<br />
and turn the top lever forward to LATCH.<br />
5. ONLY SIDE OPEN PULL ARMREST/LATCH<br />
If ONLY the SIDE of the door is OPEN, PULL on the ARMREST and push<br />
down on the lever to LATCH.<br />
