NOTE
If the PM does not respond or does not agree, the airplane
shall not enter the runway.
(3) The PF and PM both visually scan the arrival path, the entire runway
length, and the departure path to ensure no hazard exists.
(4) The PF performs the Before Takeoff Final Items” flow.
(5) Prior to advancing the power for takeoff, the PF calls out, “Runway
(Runway Number), check heading.”
(6) The PM responds, “Heading set, (compass/HSI heading).”
While on final approach to a runway for the purpose of landing, the
following shall occur:
(1) The PF verbally briefs the PM...
- What runway to approach.
- The clearance received from ATC (if applicable).
(2) The PM verbally responds to the briefing with agreement or
disagreement.
(3) The PF calls out, “Runway (Runway Number), check heading.”
(4) The PM responds, “Heading set, (compass/HSI heading).”
(5) After extending the landing gear and again during the Descent “Final
Items” Flow, the PF calls out, “Three Green, No Red, Verify.”
(6) The PM responds, “Gear Down, Verified.”
(7) At 200’ AGL, the PF determines whether the approach is stabilized and
makes the appropriate call out.
When a flight crewmember stops monitoring an ATC frequency, the
following shall occur:
(1) Notify the other flight crewmember prior to changing frequencies.
(2) Upon returning to the ATC frequency, notify the other flight
crewmember.
(3) The other flight crewmember briefs any instructions or information
received.
