LANDING GEAR UNSAFE WARNINGS
Red WARN GEAR UNSAFE light illuminates:
Gear Selector is in the UP or DOWN position and the landing gear is
in transition between the fully-retracted (UP) position, or the downand-locked
(DOWN) position.
Gear Selector in the UP position, and loss of hydraulic pressure
prevents keeping the landing gear in the fully-retracted (UP) position.
This may be caused by the emergency gear lever being loose or
inadvertently activated (lowered).
Red WARN GEAR UNSAFE light illuminated and the Gear Warning
Horn sounds:
The landing gear is not down-and-locked, and the MP is below 14”.
The Gear Selector is in the UP position, and the Flap Control Handle
is moved beyond the 1 st notch (10°) position.
NOTE
If an unsafe indication continues, contact ERAU Flight Ops
(123.30 MHz) before taking any other action.
NOTE
The “check landing gear” aural warning may also be heard
under the above conditions or anytime the airplane is within
approximately 200’ to 300’ AGL with the landing gear not down
and locked.
