LOW OIL PRESSURE CHECKLIST<br />
A partial loss of oil pressure usually indicates a malfunction in<br />
the oil pressure regulating system. A complete loss of oil<br />
pressure may signify oil exhaustion or be the result of a faulty<br />
gauge.<br />
1. OIL PRESSURE GAUGE ............................................ CHECK/VERIFY<br />
2. AIRPORT ..................................................................................... LAND<br />
3. ENGINE FAILURE DURING FLIGHT CHECKLIST .............. PREPARE<br />
4. LOW OIL PRESSURE CHECKLIST ................................... COMPLETE<br />
1. OIL PRESSURE GAUGE CHECK/VERIFY<br />
CHECK the OIL PRESSURE GAUGE to VERIFY whether the loss in oil<br />
pressure is partial or complete.<br />
2. AIRPORT LAND<br />
LAND at the nearest suitable AIRPORT as soon as practical.<br />
3. ENGINE FAILURE DURING FLIGHT CHECKLIST PREPARE<br />
PREPARE for a complete failure of the engine and be ready to complete<br />
the ENGINE FAILURE DURING FLIGHT CHECKLIST (page 105).<br />
4. LOW OIL PRESSURE CHECKLIST COMPLETE<br />
Upon completion of the LOW OIL PRESSURE CHECKLIST, verify that all<br />
items have been accomplished and that the <strong>checklist</strong> is COMPLETE.<br />
