ELECTRICAL FIRE IN FLIGHT CHECKLIST<br />
1. FLASHLIGHT (if at night) ......................................................... OBTAIN<br />
2. BATTERY MASTER SWITCH ........................................................ OFF<br />
3. ALTERNATOR SWITCH ................................................................ OFF<br />
4. ALL ELECTRICAL SWITCHES ...................................................... OFF<br />
5. RADIO MASTER SWITCH ............................................................. OFF<br />
6. CABIN VENTS ............................................................................ OPEN<br />
7. CABIN HEAT LEVER .................................................................CLOSE<br />
8. CIRCUIT BREAKERS ............................................................... CHECK<br />
NOTE<br />
If the fire persists, obtain the portable fire extinguisher (located<br />
behind the center console aft of the front seats) and extinguish,<br />
if practical.<br />
NOTE<br />
At this point, the pilot must decide if the flight can be safely<br />
continued without electrical power. If so, land at the nearest<br />
airport and have the electrical system repaired.<br />

WARNING<br />
The Manual Extension of Landing Gear procedure (page 143)<br />
must be used to lower the landing gear. In additon, the stall<br />
and gear warnings are not available with the Battery Master<br />
Switch OFF.<br />

1. FLASHLIGHT (if at night) OBTAIN<br />
In the event of an electrical fire at night, OBTAIN a FLASHLIGHT and have<br />
it readily available should the cockpit lighting system become disabled.<br />
2. BATTERY MASTER SWITCH OFF<br />
Depress the BATTERY MASTER SWITCH to the OFF position.<br />
