Seaford Rail Extension Vegetation Management Plan 5.5 Onkaparinga River National Park Revegetation Block – New Gate #29 Revegetation block - Gate 29 is a large area of scattered revegetation approximately 33.6 Ha in size, located within the Onkaparinga River National Park. Revegetation activities undertaken over recent years have been aimed at reintroducing native flora species once common to the region. Large areas of remnant native grasses and small herbs and shrubs can be found within the area. Woody weed control activities have been recommended to help improve biodiversity values within this area. Further information can be obtained within “2009 Onkaparinga River National Park Revegetation Survey Revegetation Block – Gate 20” (Creation Care) detailing specific locations of targeted woody weed species. No revegetation activities have been outlined. 5.5.1 Weed control Olea europaea (Olive), Lycium ferocissimum (African Boxthorn) and Agave americana (Century plant) have been identified as priority target species within the area.
