Damage is used to determine the physical destruction that may be caused by a single<br />

use of a character's attribute, ability, skill, or equipment.<br />

Distance is a measurement of range that an ability, equipment, or skill can span with a<br />

single use. Note that some movement abilities rank under distance rather than speed.<br />

Duration is the measurement of time that a character's ability, skill, or equipment may<br />

continue to function without further action.<br />

Rate is the range of time that determines how often an ability, skill, or equipment may<br />

operate before being available again.<br />

This attribute is used to determine the rate of physical movement as a result of a<br />

power, equipment, and even a skill, if appropriate. This is separate from distance.

BACKGROUND<br />

When Abraham was a young teen of 13, he was already taller than his father and stronger than<br />

every boy of his age. Since his family had come upon hard time, he took any kind of work he could find,<br />

regardless of how physically intensive it was. Eventually, he came upon an apprenticeship at a local<br />

printing press and would work there until nightfall. He eventually married and built their home with the<br />

meager earning he could bring in. It was quaint, but it was enough to start a nice life together. However,<br />

war broke out and without hesitation, Abraham volunteered. He was an encourager to his brothers in<br />

arm and would never give up. He fought for the same reasons everyone else did and wasn't one to be<br />

persuaded to forget what he left back home. Unfortunately, war is ugly and doesn't leave a man when<br />

the man leaves war. Although Abraham has returned home to his wife and adequate job, he will be the<br />

first to rally the militia when trouble turns its ugly head.<br />

HIS SECRET: Abraham's printing press secretly prints coded messages to aid in times of war.<br />

BACKGROUND<br />

Greez used to patrol the open streets and skies, as a police bot. Of all the units in the automated<br />

police force, he was the most respected and well-liked. To the program's operators, it seemed as if<br />

Officer Drillbit was a perfectly coded machine. However, that didn't last. On a routine patrol around the<br />

city, Officer Drillbit noticed something flashing on his radar. Upon further inspection, he discovered a<br />

few punks trying to hustle some citizens with junk and drugs. Greez attempted to intervene as he called<br />

for backup. Unaware of two large junk droids in the shadows, Greez was ambushed, beaten, and<br />

dismantled. One of the junkies, a former robotics engineer, pieced what remained of Greez back<br />

together. Unfortunately, he is now just a shell of the bot he once was. No longer fit duty, he has turned<br />

to the lifestyle that ruined his.<br />

HIS SECRET: Greez still retains connection the police lines of communication and passcodes.<br />

BACKGROUND<br />

Sarah Miles had a family - a loving husband, two sons and a young daughter, raising them on a<br />

farm with meager earnings. They were never starving, but they came close every few winters. But their<br />

lives were peaceful, until slavers came and took them all away. She was seperated from them, and was<br />

to be sold to a rich, wealthy merchant. Somehow, thanks to luck, tenacity, and a very heavy slab of<br />

stone, she overpowered one of her captors, and took his clothes and mask as her own. By the time her<br />

escape had registered, she was already fleeing out of town, trying to head back to where she had last<br />

seen her family. Now, using the slavers reputation, she traverses the world, trying to pick up the trail for<br />

her family, all the while having to hide who she really is.<br />

BACKGROUND<br />

When they were younger dwarves, Darendor and his brother, Grimblade dreamed of being<br />

valiant warriors and adventurers. Every morning they would get up to train and spar with each other.<br />

The two became some of the fiercest warriors their village had ever known. The pair had a reputation<br />

of fighting for the good in the world. They were the two that anybody could turn to for assistance if there<br />

was trouble afoot. All they asked in return was provisions of some sort to pay for their time. However,<br />

not all good things last. Eventually jobs with higher pay took priority and slowly, the two found<br />

themselves working for the riches instead of what was right. Darendor finally had enough and split ways<br />

with his brother who wouldn't relinquish the allure of gold and gemstones. To right his wrongs, Darendor<br />

began a guild of adventurers who lived off the generosity of locals and vowed to never again accept a<br />

bribe from those who claimed need of his services.<br />

BACKGROUND<br />

Warriors of the Tan'uk Orc Tribe are the few not known for their ferocity in battle, but rather their<br />

smart, tactical ways when it comes to all matters of War. This is because, the Tan'uk rever their<br />

weapons as holy symbols, and combine them with the spirit of their previous owners by attaching their<br />

head to a part of it. Parbub, having finally passed his coming of age test, was granted the Axe of Sarow,<br />

the previous orc chieftain from two generations ago, in hopes that he will learn from her and her ways to<br />

become their next ruler. He has been told to travel the world with her in tow, and learn much from other<br />

tribes of the region, so as to understand those who may soon be enemies.<br />
