I am married with two sons and have been a permanent
resident of the Mid Murray District for 25 years.
I have owned my own business over the past 30 years
I have enjoyed being a councillor for Mid Murray over
the past 7½ years, the last 4 as Deputy Mayor.
I believe we need <strong>to</strong> guide our growth within our region
<strong>to</strong> develop a base for future business and managed
<strong>to</strong>urism. We need <strong>to</strong> find a balance by providing the
needs of the community whilst still protecting our
environment.

RIVER NORTH WARD
As a resident of Cadell I have represented River North
Ward as a Councilor for the past four years. During this
period I have served on the Strategic Planning committee
and Reserves Management Working group and have seen a
positive change.
If re-elected I will continue <strong>to</strong> support the ongoing projects
in River North that benefit our youth and senior citizens. I
am committed <strong>to</strong> provide facilities <strong>to</strong> our region that are
normal in larger <strong>to</strong>wns and this in turn will help local
business prosper. The river and <strong>to</strong>urism are very
important <strong>to</strong> our region and so are the many community
groups that keep our <strong>to</strong>wns alive. We have seen positive
changes in recent times, some of which are upgrades <strong>to</strong>
the Morgan Internet centre and the Cadell Institute,
Re-roofing of Landseer building and funding for a new
Playground and BMX track. We have also seen the
introduction of the Morgan/Cadell community car, a
medical transport service that is run by volunteers and
council. The re-development of the Morgan riverfront is a
very exciting project and is one that I am proud <strong>to</strong> be part
of and will continue <strong>to</strong> support this if re-elected.
