Great Party! Excellent turn-up (76 friends plus kids) celebrated Wack and Nola’s Farewell and Father’s Day on
Sunday 5 th September. With tables of delicious food, great music, balloons & sweets for the kids, plus 15
complimentary beer, port and lollies for all “The Dads”, there was “a whole lotta party goin’ on” in the Pub
Beer-Garden. Gifts of appreciation were presented <strong>to</strong> Wack and Nola on behalf of Social Club and Morgan Museum
and Lorraine Bitmead presented an amazing “Travel Bag Cake”. There was a heartfelt speech from Wack, a few
tears, much laughter and happy reminiscing. Our best wishes go with them as they head for an exciting
sea-change. No doubt we’ll tempt them back <strong>to</strong> future events, because Baldy’s got that wonderful “Elvis” tape!
“Guess the Baby & Kids Pho<strong>to</strong> Competition” proved popular (83 entries) with two winners guessing 12 of the 14
pho<strong>to</strong>s correctly. Congratulations Maurs Irvine and Jan Dempster. Thanks <strong>to</strong> Baldy for the music, Dean and Anna
for BBQ chicken, all who provided platters of food, all who loaned treasured pho<strong>to</strong>s, Baldy, Leanne & Julie DD for
prizes, and everyone who helped during the day and night.
Daylight Saving “Well it’s back again for another night … and another …” Yes, Daylight Saving starts on 3 rd
Oc<strong>to</strong>ber. (Oct. long weekend). Sunday Night Social Club Draws in the Commercial Hotel Beer Garden (currently
held at 5.00 pm) return <strong>to</strong> 6.00pm start from Sunday 3 rd Oc<strong>to</strong>ber 2010. See you there for BBQ tea!

Our replacement roving reporter YAK, has been
hospitalised with a long awaited knee replacement
surgery.
She will be missed for her interesting s<strong>to</strong>ries each
month. No doubt she will be running up Post
Office hill in the near future. All the girls send their
best wishes and good health for the future and
will celebrate with a drink or two on her return.
