Belongings<br />

27. Deñcin wu ñaaw moo gën jiiñ sab xarit. (18)<br />

It is better to guard your belongings in security, however badly, than to accuse<br />

your friend of theft.<br />

If you do not guard your things well you risk having them stolen, and you will be<br />

suspicious of all the friends who have passed by at the time of the theft. Thus you risk<br />

damaging your friendships as well as losing your belongings.<br />

“If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse a man of a crime, the two men<br />

involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD before the priests<br />

and the judges who are in office at the time. The judges must make a thorough<br />

investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony<br />

against his brother, then do to him as he intended to do to his brother. You must<br />

purge the evil from among you.” (Deuteronomy 19:16-19 NIV)<br />

Benefit<br />

Whoever puts up a hammock / swing expects to relax.<br />

When you invest your time and money in something you expect to gain some benefit in the<br />

end.<br />

One does not praise oneself. It is for others to make those judgements.<br />

Cause and Effect<br />

If you see something, something else was the cause. If you see meat, then an<br />

animal has died.<br />

This proverb talks about cause and effect. Nothing comes about by chance. There is a<br />

reason for everything. Every action has its consequences, whether good or bad.<br />
