Promotion <strong>of</strong> Employment among Youth - Remarks for Next Initiatives 149<br />

The VEAC was an intermediary between <strong>the</strong> project <strong>part</strong>icipants and all activities. The<br />

main services <strong>of</strong> VEAC were as follows:<br />

- personal vocational guidance,<br />

- dissemination <strong>of</strong> information related to <strong>the</strong> project,<br />

- help with CV preparation, preparing for <strong>the</strong> interview and salary negotiation,<br />

- assistance in schooling organizing within <strong>the</strong> project framework,<br />

- <strong>part</strong>icipants’ data base elaboration for <strong>the</strong> employers, portfolio preparation,<br />

- direct meeting organization with <strong>the</strong> employers and project <strong>part</strong>icipants<br />

contribution<br />

- research and monitoring <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>part</strong>icipants’ pr<strong>of</strong>essional future careers<br />

- project public relations<br />

- vacancy, pr<strong>of</strong>essional schooling, local employment market information or<br />

newspaper free accessibility for <strong>part</strong>icipants.<br />

Within <strong>the</strong> VEAC, <strong>the</strong>re were two vocational guides with large experience<br />

working. Help with Personal Employment Plans elaboration and wide understood<br />

support were <strong>the</strong>ir main tasks.<br />

2. Personal Employment Plans elaboration. Within this project activity, <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>part</strong>icipants were prepared for <strong>the</strong> job position that is inspiring and motivating for <strong>the</strong><br />

effective work. Personal Employment Plan was divided on five stages.<br />

The first stage consisted <strong>of</strong> <strong>part</strong>icipant recruitment, registering, interviews.<br />

This way <strong>the</strong> group <strong>of</strong> fifty <strong>part</strong>icipants was chosen plus five persons as a reserve<br />

group.<br />

The second stage included: vocational guide interview in order to vacancy<br />

problem defining, special psychological tests determining <strong>part</strong>icipants pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />

predispositions, psychological training improving enterprising. In this stage <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>part</strong>icipants tried to elaborate <strong>the</strong>ir portfolios. They defined <strong>the</strong>ir own skills,<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essional experiences, knowledge, potentials, personal features, life aims and<br />

activity motives. The <strong>part</strong>icipants’ <strong>part</strong>ition was <strong>the</strong> final results <strong>of</strong> this stage. They<br />

were divided in three groups:<br />

- men <strong>of</strong> business initiatives;<br />

- pr<strong>of</strong>essional qualification transition and skills improvement;<br />

- new pr<strong>of</strong>essional image creation – “Independence in job searching”.<br />

The <strong>part</strong>icipants had been divided according to <strong>the</strong>ir needs and <strong>the</strong>ir choice was<br />

verified according to <strong>the</strong>ir psychophysical predispositions based on <strong>the</strong> test and<br />

interviews results.<br />

The third stage was composed <strong>of</strong> training suitable for <strong>the</strong> <strong>part</strong>icular group. The<br />

results <strong>of</strong> this stage were <strong>part</strong>icipants employment or own business establishment.<br />

In <strong>the</strong> fourth stage, still jobless <strong>part</strong>icipants could start three months practice organized<br />

within <strong>the</strong> project to increase <strong>the</strong>ir experience. After that <strong>the</strong>y would try to find a job<br />

once again. If some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m would fail <strong>the</strong>y can be <strong>part</strong>icipants <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> fifth stage.<br />

In fifth stage <strong>part</strong>icipants can use <strong>of</strong> individual vocational guidance and o<strong>the</strong>r below<br />

presented activities.<br />

3. Multimedia – stand. The stand <strong>of</strong>fering computer with <strong>the</strong> Internet access<br />

and printer were given for <strong>the</strong> <strong>part</strong>icipants in order to CV – preparing, job <strong>of</strong>fers
