We have reviewed our travel policy and<br />

have used alternative communications<br />

where practicable, such as conference<br />

calls, video conferencing and virtual offsites.<br />

We will continue to implement these<br />

measures in 2010 as part of our CR<br />

programme. Moreover, the cultural changes<br />

in our ways of working have been<br />

implemented positively.<br />

We have already introduced a number of<br />

measures to protect our environment within<br />

our offices such as recycling bins, use of<br />

recycled paper and stationery and water<br />

purification systems.<br />

As <strong>Inchcape</strong> operates three business<br />

models – Distribution, Retail and VIR<br />

(please see page 13 for more detail)<br />

there are variances in our CO 2 footprint.<br />

Direct comparisons between markets<br />

operating different business models are<br />

unlikely to produce meaningful results.<br />

However, we are looking for opportunities<br />

to exploit synergies between the business<br />

models by having a consistent approach<br />

to reduction and offsetting goals and by<br />

sharing best practices.<br />

• Reviewing time lost through accidents and continuing to monitor<br />
