Dear Texas Longhorn Enthusiasts:
On behalf of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of
America, welcome to the 2011 Horn Showcase Sale! Every year
we strive to present a selection of quality Texas Longhorn females
from TLBAA member programs from across the country.
As you look through the pages of this year’s catalog, we are
confident that you will be impressed with the depth of quality
consignments that can be found throughout. We want to express
our thanks to our many consignors for offering such remarkable
females for the auction.
Our TLBAA Horn Showcase is the longest running hornmeasuring
event in our industry. In 2011, we continue our
legacy with an exciting and fun competition between some of
the longest horned cattle in the industry. No doubt you will see
some familiar breeding programs winning the coveted bronzes,
but there are always new programs that are stepping up to
make their mark in the record books.
This event is not only special because of the quality of animals
that are present, but also because of the camaraderie between
breeders that share the same passions for the Texas
Longhorn. It is our hope that you enjoy your time together
through this special fellowship and that you take home not only
a bronze for your mantle, but fond memories of a good time,
spent with good friends.
This “good time” could not be possible without the generosity
of our sponsors. You will see their names on banners, in
ads, on posters and they will be announced throughout the
event. When you can, take the time to give them a pat on the
back and tell them thanks for their support. The TLBAA staff, its
Board of Directors and the Horn Showcase committee will be
ever present throughout the event to make sure your trip to
Fort Worth is rewarding in every way we can. It is our goal to
make the 2011 Horn Showcase and Sale about the cattle and
you.
Sincerely,
Robert Richey – Horn Showcase & Sale Chairman
