Rules of the XI Open Nail Art Championship - BT 1

Part 1 – General rules regulations
1. Nail competition is open to all manicurists working with professional tools who are duly
registered.
2. Each competitor must have his/her own model. Foreign competitors have a possibility choose the
models, informing the Organizer of Championship before 10 days of competitions.
3. Filling the registration form the competitors must note the category and group where the
competitors take a part.
4. The competitor can be disqualified in the following cases:
-late arrival on the competition;
-irregular behavior on the competition floor;
-if the competitor don’t respect the order to stop the work after the end of the scheduled time;
-if the competitor leaves the stage without permission;
-using during competition forbidden equipment and/or tools.
5. The competitor who wills late arrival on the competition will be disqualified. The payment for
participation in the Championship in this case will not be returned.
Part 2 – A briefing before the competition
1. The Organizer of Championship provides the competitors with a table, two chairs, two plugs for
the electrical tools, electrical lamp.
2. Competitors must bring all necessary products, tools and equipments for executing the work. Each
competitor must be equipped with an UV (ultra-violet) lamp for the gel technologies.
3. All using products should be labeled.
4. A briefing is scheduled 30 minutes prior to the start of the competition. Competitors and models
must be present for the briefing. NO EXCEPTION.
5. From the moment of the briefing starting and till the moment of signal to competition begins all
actions with models nails are forbidden.
6. During competition time the work place must stay clear.
Part 3 – Judging and breaches
1. After the end of the scheduled time of competition, the competitors leave the competition floor
and take with them all their belongings, equipments and tools. The models remain where they are.
Afterwards, the drawing of lots takes place. The numbers given to the models are sticked on the
Nail Check cards. The models that have these cards go to the jury cabin.
2. A 1-10 point judging system will be used with 1 being the lowest point and 10 being the highest.
3. The competitors are responsible that their models stay in the place, don’t leave competitions
floor.
4. Models may not leave the competition area until they are judged by all judges.
5. The decision of jury is final
6. In the case of equal results, the results calculated by the points given by Chief Judge.
7. For the breaches are given points according with these rules.
8. For the breaches are not provided in these rules from the competitors are taken 10 penalty points.
9. During judging cleanliness and organization of a workplace is estimated also. For poor

organization of a workplace judges have the right to appoint 5 penal points. The participant of
competitions can receive additional 5 points for observance of cleanliness, the good organization
of a workplace.
Not good organized workplace means - the disorder, using of old tools, absence of necessary
tools, materials and accessories for work.
10. Judges are appointed by Championship organization committee. Decisions of jury are final and
are not a subject to revision and discussion. The jury does not consider the claims concern
Championship processing and its results. After Championship finishing, the competitors can
receive their estimations in Championship organization committee.
Part 4 – the rules for category Nail Paint – “Sun, Sea, Sand”
1. Scheduled time for this category – 2 hours 30 minutes.
2. The theme of competition – “Sun, Sea, Sand”
3. The sculptured nails (or tips) on the models hands are allowed.
4. The base coat (one main color) is allowed before competition begins.
5. During this category of competitions the use of lacquers, glitters, paints, flat decorations and all
another products apply to nail design is allowed.
6. The use before make drafts and the drawings is allowed.
7. The use of aerograph is forbidden.
8. The nail design is flat, the 3D design is forbidden.
9. Body-art, tattoo, decorations are forbidden. The make changes in the models looks are forbidden
(*the models, clothes for this category of competition will be given by Organizer of
Championship, the hairstyle and make-up for models will be done as well. In another case
the competitors will disqualified. Work on the model nails only. The competitor has right to
attach to model artistic pose.
Part 5 – the rules for category 3D Design (Tridimensional Design) – “Sun, Sea, Sand”
1. Scheduled time – 2 hours 30 minutes.
2. Тhe theme of competition – “Sun, Sea, Sand”
3. The design on the nails of one hand of the model is entirely prepared before the competition;
during the competition the competitors do the tridimensional design on the nails of one hands of
the model.
4. The sculptured nails or tips are allowed. The nails could be any length. The standard form
changes are allowed. Transparent, pink and natural gel or acrylic coverage are allowed. The
background, colors basis are doing during competition time.
5. All details and their installation are doing during test time.
Before made details are not allowed.
6. It is allowed to use any acrylic or gel technology.
7. It is possible to add to the work done the drawing elements on the nails.
8. It is not recommended to exaggerate by creating compositions which would be too big and
beyond measure.
9. Body-art, tattoo, decorations are forbidden. The make changes in the models looks are forbidden
(*the models, clothes for this category of competition will be given by Organizer of
Championship, the hairstyle and make-up for models will be done as well. ). In another case
the competitors will disqualified. Work on the model nails only. The competitor has right to
attach to model artistic pose.

in the Championship of 2011 cannot take part in the Championship 2012.
