Easter Outreach Project for Families in-Need
Through the generosity of Visitation, Mary Queen of Heaven and Redeemer Lutheran, Immaculate
Conception Church will provide over 100 Easter food baskets including hams, fresh produce, paper
goods, grocery gift cards and over 150 children's candy/gift baskets for families-in-need. Please consider
donating some items for these families. The families have been referred by the Elmhurst Walk-in
Ministry, Catholic Charities and Senior Services of Elmhurst.

A Lenten Communal Penance Service will be held
this Wednesday, March 20, at 7:00 P.M. in the church.
Lent is the primary season of reconciliation in the
Church year and everyone is encouraged to receive this
Sacrament during this time.

Saturday, March 23, from 3:15 to 4:45 P.M.

Confirmation DVDs Available
Congratulations to all the recipients who received the
Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, March 5.
If you are interested in ordering a DVD of this beautiful
celebration, please contact Dina Kwit at 630-430-6735 to
place an order.
The cost of the DVD is $35. Orders will be taken through
Wednesday, March 20, 2013, and will be mailed to your
home.
MANNA
Visitation Tuition Assistance Program
This past week 36 Visitation Grade School and other
organization program families purchased $15,265 in gift
certificates through our MANNA program.
The earned tuition credit for the past week was $833.
We thank all our participants and remind so many other
families, who do not participate for a variety of reasons,
that all families who are members of Visitation Parish can
earn tuition credit for themselves or another family friend,
or to simply help support our school. If you do not need
the credit for yourself, there is always another family in
need who would be overwhelmed with your kindness.
Everyone should be aware that it does not cost a dime to
participate. As an example of the good you could do, just
buy $100 in Jewel, Dominick’s, Caputo’s or Pete’s Fresh
Market ($4 is earned), Land’s End/Sears/K–Mart (15% is
earned), Fannie May Candy (28% is earned) and Great
Clips (19% is earned). There are over 275 stores and
restaurants that support our program. And that’s a lot of
choice. Please stop in at one of our Walk–in Services and
see how easy it is to begin.

MINISTRIES
Elizabeth Ministry Rosebud
Prayer Service
Many of you have offered up prayer intentions through the
Elizabeth Ministry’s Rosebud Program—intentions covering
the areas of celebration of birth, waiting to conceive, waiting
to adopt and grieving an infant or child loss.
Uniting in prayerful support, the Elizabeth Ministry invites
interested parishioners to a Rosebud Prayer Service to be held
on Thursday, March 21, at 9:30 A.M. in the Fireside Room in
the Parish Center. The service will last approximately 30 minutes,
as we gather to pray over the intentions that have been
presented at the foot of the statue of Mary and Elizabeth, as
well as any that you may bring with you. Please join us!
A Jesus Gem
She signed her name at the beginning of each of her six notebooks
with her full name “Sister Faustina of the Most Blessed
Sacrament” (see, Diary, 2,523, 1003, 1233, 1590). Each year on
New Year’s Day, it was the custom for the Sisters to draw a card
with their patron for the year written on it. For 1935, St.
Faustina’s card read: “Patron of the Year 1935—The Most
Blessed Eucharist” (Diary, 360).
She wrote extensively of her great devotion to the Holy
Eucharist. A special gem stands out that shows how much she
yearned to receive Jesus in Holy Communion: “The most solemn
moment of my life is the moment when I receive Holy
Communion. I long for each Holy Communion, and for every Holy
Communion I give thanks to the Most Holy Trinity”(Diary, 1804).
Ask the Lord to increase your love for Him at Holy
Communion and whenever you adore Him in the Most Blessed
Sacrament. He yearns to strengthen you and show you the immensity
of His love in the Holy Eucharist. (from Mercy Minutes)
As Easter nears, come to Adoration, avail yourself of the
Sacrament of Confession and prepare yourself to receive the extraordinary
graces promised by Jesus on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 7.
The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To

pre–party wine drive helped to support the Spring Gala, “Women, Wine and Music” which will be held on Thursday, April
