Subsequently, preliminary visits to these sites were made along with the officials of DOE, DSIDC, and MCD. The site visit reports are enclosed at Annex II. The location of these sites is shown in Fig. 4.1. Rapid EIA studies of these sites limited to one season only has been carried out to evaluate the sites from technical and environmental angle. In addition, there is one more site (close to Bawana Industrial Area) identified by DOE, Govt. of NCT-Delhi during 1996-97. The EIA studies for the same had been conducted by NPC in 1997. As per the requirement of DOE the findings of the EIA Studies (1997), have also been incorporated in this report for evaluation of site. The descriptions of the identified sites are given below. Site-I: Bawana Relocation Industrial Site Location on toposheet:: This site is located on Survey of India toposheet no. 53 H/1 in A3 Central grid (1:50,000 scale). The 5 km radius study area is located between 77 o 1'47" and 77 o 7'56" N Latitude and 28 o 45'54" and 28 o 51'22" E longitude. Physical location: The photo plate 1, 2, 3 exhibits location of the site and also depicts dominant human activities around it.
