Further, detailed investigations of these sites were carried out and ranked as per
MOEF guidelines as well as by the criteria adapted by NPC followed internationally.
The ranking of the sites w.r.t MOEF and NPC's criteria is as given below:

Site III located near village Guman Hera has the lowest sensitvity index (as per
MOEF's ranking system) and highest score ( as per NPC's criteria). Further, the
area available at site III is sufficient for developing a secured landfill facilty for
15 years life. Also additional area around the site could be procured for
extension of the facility.
Therefore site III located near village Guman Hera is recommended for
development of secured landfill facility for disposal of hazardous waste
generated from approved industrial estates/areas of NCT - Delhi.
However, as "no site can be perfect", the mitigation measures have been proposed
to mitigate the adverse environmental impacts. Accordingly, Environmental
Management Plan (EMP) has been prepared which shall be followed at the sites for
disposal of hazardous waste in environmentally sound manner.
