Rapid EIA Studies of 3 Pre-identified Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites in NCT - Delhi Page No.134 PROPOSED ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN 8.1 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN The operation of secured landfill facility includes loading of waste at source, transportation of waste from the sources of the waste generation to the final disposal facility, unloading of waste at the disposal facility, layer-wise compaction of waste, transfer and treatment of leachate at treatment facility. All the above mentioned activities may have serious environmental impacts if not carried out properly. Therefore, an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) has been prepared to prevent and mitigate the possible adverse environmental impacts due to the construction/ operation of the proposed secured landfill facility.
